In the era of Czarist Russia as the result of works of Ilminskiy in an effort to russify the minorities and of intrigues of Russian Communist Bolshevik Party over Turkestan in 1920, use of present continuous tense in the dialects of Turkmen Turkish, which is one of Turkish dialects brought as language of literature, has shown variety. It is remarkable that affixes of present continuous tense which are used in the dialects of Turkmen Turkish, which is in a position of field of passage on a line extending from the northeast region of Turkish world to the Balkans are such affixes as used in North-east Turkish dialects, Turkish dialects of Kipchak group and South-east Turkish Dialects. Indeed, this fact reveals that Turkmen dialects should be evaluated in an integrity even if they are far distant geographically from each other. |
