In this study I argue on the words "eyitdügüñde" and "i-şit" that occur in the Book of Dede Korkut. Derivation of the verb "eyit-" is examined in terms of its appearances in Turkish dialects. In the story Tepegöz in Dede Korkut, the two lines are read in different ways by various scholars are determined to be read as: "?ara ?aga eyitdügüñde işit virsün, ?anlu kanlu ?ulardan geçit virsün" |
