The attempts of Uygur Turk in Qur'anic studies are evaluated in this work. The brief history of Uygur Turks, initially, is put in this essay and then their encounter with Islam and conversion are studied. As instruction-associations of this new religion, Madrasa and its curriculum are summarised, and then Qur'anic commentaries and translations by Uygurian scholars are introduced. First of all, we introduced the initial translations in Uygurian that is one of the oldest languages of Turks, later, the others that are prepared throughout the history up to now. The translations of 20th century, because of being entire and comprehensive, are particularly studied. Meanwhile, the other works dealing with Qur'anic Studies are examined in a few words. With this work, it is aimed to introduce the works of Uygur Turks, especially, in the Qur'anic studies. |
