Sınchı Tradition and Tolubay Sınchıs

Abstract : According to our research no private study is available in the literature which has been conducted into the dephts of the tradition of sınchı and sınchıs. The earliest writen sources concerning Sınchı tradition and Sınchıs belong to the XIV century. According to the research we have done, sınchıs were the oldest type of akins who are the representatives of ashiks tradition in Kırghız Turks according to written sources, Tolubay Sınchı (XIV century) and Sançı Sınchı (XVI century) were the first represantives of sınchı tradition in Kırghız Turks. A number of legends were created about the mentioned sınchıs and they have survited till today.
