Horse Carts in Turkish Culture (Language Of Horse Carts)

Abstract: Turks are known for their interest and ability in horse riding. Turks found harness, stirrup, saddle and rein used horse as a means of transportation and fig.

Turks, together with horse, began to use ‘carts'. In the fourth century B.C. , Turks certainly used carts. Oğuz Destanı mentions not the use of , but discovery of horse carts.

Carts developed in time in Turkish culture. Cart, (ox-cart with two solid wooden wheels), phaeton were all used exchangeably for ‘cart'. However, due to technologies developments, horse carts are used for decoration purposes. Phaetons are used in touristic places. While carts turned into miniature objects that artists produce and sell people who use them for decaration purposes.
