AN ESSAY ABOUT TURKISH ACCORDING TO THE RELATION
BETWEEN SIGNIFNER AND SIGNIFIED

ABSTRACT

Linguistic concepts have been created from the coınmon features of various languages and have aimed to descibe the "language" system. But, however, languages are the systeıns changing from one society to another and dependable on the cultures of those societies.The cultures and thought structures have shaped their languages.

In this study, Turkish has been examined from the point of Sousseure's the arbitrarines of sign aspect.

As it is known, the most important feature making Turkish different from the other languages is its syntactic structure and aggrotulative word order. These features have been drawing out the impression that the signifier and signified relation is motivated Sausseur defines as the relavity of arbitrarines.

In this study, it has been resulted that the relativity of arbitrarines is an important feature in Turkish by presenting the signifier aspect of various language signs and the relation between these two aspects.
